What is Dyscalculia?

Dyscalculia is a specific learning disorder that affects an individual's ability to understand and work with numbers and mathematical concepts. It is characterized by difficulties with mathematical reasoning, number sense, and mathematical fluency.

Similar to dyslexia, dyscalculia is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects individuals regardless of their intelligence level. In the United States, prevalence estimates for dyscalculia range from 3% to 6% of school-aged children.
